Cast Iron 'Hunter' Door Stop

A rare piece of equestrian history designed by Calvin Roy Kinstler for Virginia Metalcrafters.

This vintage door stop is made of cast iron with a substantial weight of nearly 5 pounds. The base is embossed with 'Hunter' and signed with the artist's initials, CRK.

The Virginia Metalcrafter foundry closed its doors in 2006 and their sought-after pieces are no longer in production.

The condition is vintage with slight wear and a lovely patina. Measures 12" wide by 10.5" at its tallest point.
